Child Support Laws
AGE OF EMANCIPATION - Child support payments usually stop when a child reaches the age of emancipation, but may continue until the child finishes high school. This depends on the child support laws of your court order state and the wording of the order itself.

STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS - Your state may have a law that limits the time which you may legally collect your past due child support.
 
To find the statute of limitations, please select your court order state or the non-custodial parents' residence state. The statute of limitations will be the longer time of the two.
